Must I
tell you
about what
lies in your blood,
white man
of the shepherd
boy and the
lost sword
and his brother.
The island
that fell
into the sea,
that all faith
knows by
heart, goddesses
may rise,
teaching wisdom,

against darkness.
The shepherd
who tricked
his brother
to the island
and destroyed
him in an
ancient war,
long before
the ape
man was
born. Mankind
walked the
frozen lands.
It is said
when his brother
lied dead
and his death
ripped apart
the land,
the shepherd’s
flesh fell
from him,
leaving only
moonlight,
starlight that
moved into
the heavens.
Man was
there when
the war
of the ancient
races took
place. Most
died, and
races went
extinct, but
in the
end the
races of
darkness were
destroyed, leaving
a ruined
earth. It
begins again,
with different
players, a
war man
must fight
or be
destroyed.
Europeans may
be the
last of
the elder
races, hairs
of various
shades of
red, blond,
brown, white
and skin
akin to
the moon.
Brown haired
like the
shepherd boy,
who raised
the sword
of light
against his
brother to
save the
elder races
of the
light.
The earth
wounds healed
over time
and were
all but
forgotten. Civilization
decay, new
ones rise
up, walls
pass to
dust, cities
are claimed
by the
sea, but
a race
only walks
once through
the field.
History turns,
to myth,
time changing
even these,
then they’re
fully gone,
a race
that lived
and died,
leaving nothing,
forgotten.
